One important thing to consider when choosing Botox treatment is to find the most credible doctor out there. How do you do it?
A Botox doctor should be certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS). An authentication by the ABPS ascertains at least five years of surgical training, including two years of training specifically in plastic surgery. It is crucial that their surgeon has extensive cosmetic surgical experience and has met the indispensable requirements for continuing cosmetic surgery education.
Also, these doctors must also have certain hospital privileges to perform the specific procedure in an acute care hospital since the procedure is often performed outside the hospital in an office-based surgical facility. Post-operative care should be thoroughly discussed with the surgeon. Although extremely safe in the hands of doctors accredited by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, even with the highest level of care every case carries risks as well as benefits and these should be discussed thoroughly with your attending physician.
Candidates for Botox procedure should be healthy. That person must be candid about any drugs he or she could have taken in the past. These include hormones (oral contraceptives and estrogen replacement), aspirin, vitamins, and herbal medications since these substances can intervene with blood coagulation or interact with other medications.
