Your page is going to get to the top of the search engine rankings faster if you have a different title tag for each page. When you are thinking of your title tags, make sure that it's not too long. It should be around 10 words long and be easy to read. A title tag is what readers are going to see at the top of their page when they open it, so it has to make sense. Just stuffing it with keywords is not the best way to do it.
After getting your page descriptions perfected, you are going to want to take a look at your meta tags. Meta tags are information about who wrote the page, when it was last updated or changed and some of the keywords. Because most website builders stuff their meta tags with key words, they are becoming less and less important to the search engine bots. Just like with page descriptions, try to write different meta tags for each page on your website. Unlike page descriptions, meta tags can be a bit longer, averaging around 30 words each.
The final (but very important) tip for getting great on-page optimization is to keep your website up to date. Search engines love it when websites are updated and changed regularly, so a website that has been updated recently is going to get a better placing than one with older content.
You need to consider on-page optimization when trying to get your website to the first page of the search engine results.
